I am sure the USB adapter is working, because the system does recognize it and I have used it successfully on a laptop I have re-booted and reconnected numerous time. Under 'Details' it displays "MaxtonĦ USB Device, 'Value' Disk Drive. Sabrent ECHD2B Hard Drive Docking Station. Under 'Driver' these are updated and display 'Systems 32 drivers and partition manageres. 'Disk' = 1, 'Type' = Basic, 'Status' = Online, 'Partition Style' = MBR, 'Capacity' = 117246MB, 'Unallocated'= 6MB, 'Reserved' = 0MB. When I double click on it, it displays.under 'General', 'Device Status' that "device is working".under 'Policies' it is default to "Quick Removal".under 'Volumes', 'Populated' it displays I double click on Disk Drives, it shows - Maxtor 6Y120LO USB Device. The drive is recognized when I goto 'Control Panel - Systems and Security - Systems - Device Manager - Disk Drives'. I have set the jumpers properly to 'Master' and connected the drive via the USB. I am attempting to read a Maxtor 102GB ATA HDD. ![]()
